Discovery has settled on a date to reskin the Max streamer back to HBO Max: Early this Wednesday morning, according to streamer insiders. The flip won’t happen simultaneously, but customers will see “HBO Max” on the apps that formerly said “Max” across the streamer’s territories on July 9.

The Hollywood Reporter reported on Tuesday that Warner Bros. Discovery would officially rebrand its Max streaming service to HBO Max on Wednesday, per a source familiar with the matter - and that change over is now live.

Max is returning to its former name — HBO Max — beginning immediately. Users of the streaming service, which is owned by CNN’s parent company Warner Bros. Discovery, will see the new-ish name roll out Wednesday, the company announced .
