The Seattle Seahawks announced they’ve hired Justin Outten as their new run-game coordinator on Thursday. Outten is the latest addition to new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak’s staff, joining other new hires such as John Benton, Andrew Janocko and Michael Byrne. Firstly, he’s another familiar face, reuniting with Kubiak.

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll entered the offseason intent on reviving the team's stagnant run game. The first step was a change at offensive coordinator, with Brian Schottenheimer taking over for Darrell Bevell.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the team in catches and receiving yards after years of DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett pacing the team in those categories. Lockett appears to be unlikely to be back with the team in 2025 and Metcalf is heading into the final year of his contract after being targeted the fewest times since his rookie season.
