The Babb's Covered Bridge, which connects Gorham and Windham, is back open nearly six months after a truck that exceeded the weight limit fell through the deck.

A bridge that a gravel truck broke through last summer in Windham is back open. The steward of Babb’s Bridge, who was appointed by the Windham Historical Society, posted Thursday that repairs on the bridge are complete.

Work began last month to repair the wooden bridge that was severely damaged in August when an overweight dump truck broke through the bridge's roadway and plunged into the Presumpscot River.
