Images of Virginia Beach police officers who died in line of duty released
Virginia Beach police on Sunday released images of the officers who were shot to death Friday night. Cameron Girvin and Christopher Reese were gunned down after a traffic stop by a man police identified as as 42-year-old John Lee McCoy III. Reese became a Virginia Bech officer in 2022; Girvin in 2020.
Virginia State Police have had a busy few weeks with the seizure of narcotics, investigations into human trafficking and one homicide case.
Law enforcement officials say two police officers in Virginia have been shot and killed during a traffic stop.
