Government officials from opposite sides of the aisle clashed in Washington over just how dangerous the New York City subway system is.

In addition to terminating the funding, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy directed the Federal Railroad Administration to review other grants related to the project.

"This was an ill-conceived and unnecessary project, and a total waste of Taxpayer money — But no more!" the president said.
