It was the first time a new round of severe weather has paused the search since the flooding earlier this month. Search efforts are expected to resume Monday.

Fatigue and frustration are growing among rescue workers who are ending another long day of searching for those who perished in last week's Hill Country flood disaster. Some volunteers involved in the search are even resorting to on-site IV injections to get through the hottest day yet in the Guadalupe River basin,

Volunteers in Texas are searching for flood victims and combing through debris along a 30 mile stretch of the Guadalupe River. CNN’s Ed Lavandera spoke with Texans who are coming together to bring closure to their community.

HAMPTON ROADS — On July 4, a flash flood along the Guadalupe River overwhelmed the Texas hill country region of Kerr County. The river surged to almost 30 feet in under an hour, leading to a major rush of water. At the heart of the storm was Camp Mystic, a summer camp for girls.
