The Welsh Open culminates in Llandudno today with the final of the ranking event taking place at Venue Cymru. It is the 34th time that a winner will be crowned, but only the third final to take place in north Wales after the tournament was moved from the ICC Wales arena in Newport in 2023.

Mark Selby won the first frame of the Welsh Open semi-final before Luca Brecel left the arena after suffering from a migraine and blurred vision.

The Welsh Open was temporarily halted on Saturday, with Luca Brecel struggling with a migraine during his clash with Mark Selby. Both men are currently in the semi-finals of the tournament, with Ali Carter and Stephen Maguire also in the last four.

Mark Selby beat Luca Brecel 6-3 to book his place in the final of the Welsh Open. The 2008 winner had edged John Higgins 5-4 in a cagey quarter-final, but showed his intent with a 131 break in the opening frame of the semi-final.
