Rights groups say that behind U.S. President Donald Trump's vows to turn Gaza into a “Riviera of the Middle East” lies a plan to forcibly drive a population from its land.

The meeting comes at an awkward moment for the Middle Eastern leader, who is trapped between Trump’s explosive plan to take over Gaza and destabilization at home.

Hamas and President Trump have threatened to upend the cease-fire. Analysts say those words could prove hollow, but the deal still may not last beyond early March.
