Mexico striker Raúl Jiménez made a pair of touching tributes to his late teammate Diogo Jota during the Concacaf Gold Cup final at NRG Stadium in Houston on Sunday.

As Mexico took on the U.S. men’s national team in the Concacaf Gold Cup final, striker Raúl Jiménez honored Jota ahead of kickoff, wearing “Diogo J” and Jota’s No. 20 as he walked out for the national anthems.

"He was a great teammate," Jimenez said on Saturday. "We shared many beautiful moments being important parts of what Wolves achieved in those times. It's very tough to learn this type of news about someone so close to you and who was a great friend.
