As Alex Pereira says, talks are already ongoing for a rematch and he’s looking forward to that. In a rematch, Pereira has confidence he can make the right adjustments to beat Magomed Ankalaev and reclaim his light heavyweight title. Following the loss at UFC 313, Alex Pereira says his goal is to now take some time off to travel and rest his body.

Pereira, a former kickboxing champion, has been a phenom since joining the UFC in 2021. He won middleweight gold in 2022 before moving up to light-heavyweight and adding a second belt in 2023. Then, last year, he recorded three successful title defences with TKOs of Jamahal Hill, Jiri Prochazka and Khalil Rountree Jr.
