Outfielder Ramón Laureano’s one-year contract with the Baltimore Orioles includes a $6.5 million team option for 2026

The deal includes a team option for 2026. The 30-year-old hit .259 with 11 home runs and 33 RBIs last year for Atlanta and Cleveland.

The Orioles’ outfield gained another player Tuesday, with Baltimore signing Ramón Laureano to a one-year deal.

As speculation and rumors keep swirling about the Orioles’ quest to add another starting pitcher, contract agreements are finalized to deepen the outfield and raise more questions about possible future moves.

On the surface, Ramón Laureano seems like a superfluous signing for the Baltimore Orioles. Now that the deal is official, Baltimore will carry seven on their 40-man roster to Sarasota, Fla., for spring training. More importantly, all of those outfielders have Major League experience and many of them don’t have minor-league options.

Orioles general manager Mike Elias stated he was still “targeting improvements” to the club in the final days ahead of Spring Training. It seemed likely that any potential additions would be pitchers.

The Orioles announced that they have signed outfielder Ramón Laureano to a one-year deal. It reportedly comes with a $4MM guarantee for the the VaynerSports client and there’s also a $6.5MM club option for 2026. Infielder Luis Vázquez has been designated for assignment as the corresponding move.
